With SPECTACULAR SUNSET VIEWS, 10707 Corinthian Drive, also known as "LingerLonger", is a simply designed summer home that was built in the late 1920s for the distinguished Francis Morris family of Philadelphia. The house still retains its original summer house character with exposed studs and joists. The 22 x 50 great room for living and dining always surprises visitors-but the dramatic sunset view across Pleasure Bay and the Intracoastal waterway to the wetlands is a daily masterpiece of spacious sky and color. Many original interior details have been retained including the grand Marlin that has been handed down from owner to owner, beaded board wallboard, original door hardware, and unpainted pine kitchen cabinetry. The Douglas fir floors were also sanded and returned to a natural finish. The library table and dining room table in the great room came from the library of the Union League in Philadelphia. There is a fixed dock with a table for ten-perfect for steamed clams and Jersey tomatoes at lunch time. There is also a floating dock with a swimming ladder. Also included is a 2 person kayak and one paddleboard! Roses bloom all around the house and there is an herb garden for the chef. Time for a nap or a shady place to read a book? The 10 x 35 screened porch is a delightful place for both. The house is ideal for someone who does not like steps-there are only three steps up to the house and one of the five bedrooms is on the first floor! Look for "LingerLonger" etched in concrete at the head of the south garden path and on the old oar over the kitchen door and come linger longer and consider the house part of your summer family tradition at the shore.
