It is nicely furnished and has hardwood floors with area rugs, and a modern, fully equipped kitchen. The large deck is perfect for entertaining or relaxing. This property sleeps 8 people comfortably. Towamensing is a Native American word used by the Lenape Indians. It means “a fording place at the falls”. Towamensing Trials Community includes a 190-acre lake, a Community Center with a game room, and a private restaurant. Special events are scheduled year-round including a Halloween party for children, an Easter egg hunt, teen activities, flea markets and Memorial Day and Fourth of July celebrations. The recently constructed outdoor pavilion has a snack bar that is open during the summer season. Other amenities include a private pool and beach, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, a baseball field and a playground. Meals and snacks are occasionally available as is music and dancing. Boat rentals are available. Anglers with a valid PA fishing license may use the catch-and-release lake. Towamensing Trails is a short distance from area ski slopes and is in close proximity to white water rafting, a paint ball center and the Town of Jim Thorpe.
